A Tribute to Morley Nelson

(1916 - 2005)

_____________________________________

That's Morley Nelson
a man with the heart
and soul of an eagle,
a man who would fight
to the end for the birds' survival,
just as the birds must fight for survival
every day in the wild.

-Morley Nelson news: From the idahostatesman.com website-

"The stretch of desert along the Snake River that Morley Nelson loved most of all may soon carry his name..."

Morlan W. Nelson

"Morley"

(1916 - 2005)

Morley Nelson. Master Falconer, Cinematographer, Naturalist, Conservationist, Nuclear Engineer and Capt. of the Tenth Mountain Division deservedly nick named "The Falcon" has ascended if you believe in a higher spirit and is now undoubtedly showing the flying angels some exciting ariel acrobatics. He was a real man and in his own words "was not afraid to make the jump over the great divide". For over 25 years Morley was the inspiration and drive behind all of our educational programs. We will honor and eagerly proceed with his vision. All humanity has lost a friend and great leader. Morley's humor and his intense passionate insight into the essentials of life, liberty, and the pursuit and protection of honor and dignity for all living things will never be forgotten by the staff here at Birds of Prey Expeditions. Even though the flame of the torch has been extinguished, he left us all with the meaning to always do the best we can to protect our planet. With the greatest respect and love, we will miss you Captain Nelson.
